Grand Bahamians are returning home to join Carnival Cruise Line’s $600 million Celebration Key project in Freeport, which is being hailed as a transformative investment for the island. Newly appointed Operations Manager Domonique Pinder described the development as a source of hope and opportunity, expected to create over 700 permanent jobs—400 directly through Carnival. With more than 4,000 applications already received and recruitment drives held across The Bahamas, the project is set to open in July 2025 and welcome 2.2 million guests annually. At least 75% of its 70+ retail and restaurant outlets will be Bahamian-owned.
